Fejká offers fascinating remix to Thylacine’s single “Polar”

Since his first album siberian trans, Thylacin developed a taste for composing through travel, an initiatory project that led him to compose during his journey on the Trans-Siberian Railway. The album that allowed the young prodigy to make a name for himself on the electronic scene and in the musical world in general. In order to combine music and image and to make the listener discover his universe through travel, Thylacine has continued to make his way, as he pleases, in his own style, gaining legions of dedicated fans and followers.

Now he’s brought in another phenomenal producer Fejka for remix duties on his hit single, “Polar“. It’s a beautiful journey from start to finish, filled with hypnotic progressions, haunting melodies and a deafening beat. It’s an ethereal remix that shows just how talented Fejká is while paying homage to the original.

Here’s what Fejká had to say about it:

“I deconstructed the original first and kept the most interesting parts to myself: the vocals and a synth melody that appears later in the track. Looping the groovy synth melody gave me a hypnotic feeling, the more I listened to it, the more ideas began to germinate. With the chord progression coming later, I wanted the atmosphere to glow slowly, like sunlight beaming through a wall of clouds, making the hole bigger and bigger. I decided to use it as a base for my intro and to build an evolution of the atmospheres around it. I used a Moog sub 37 and a Juno 60 for the bass and high leads and some digital instruments for ambiences These digital instruments are heavily processed with spatial echoes, delays, bit-crushers and reverb.
