CJ Stroud names his top 5 QBs in the NFL

Date:

CJ Stroud #7 of the Ohio State Buckeyes looks to advance in the third quarter against the Georgia Bulldogs in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on December 31, 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia.

An NFL career is officially underway for Houston Texans rookie quarterback CJ Stroud as he is now the new face of the struggling franchise and will be one of the teams to watch in the 2023 campaign.

As the Ohio State product adjusts to his new surroundings in the NFL, the 21-year-old is already voicing his opinions on his peers in the league.

Stroud was recently asked who his top five NFL quarterbacks are and gave some interesting answers via BroBible’s Dov Kleiman.

Stroud with the Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen Hurts is interesting to say the least, especially with Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes at No. 2.

There’s no doubt that Hurts is a rising quarterback with a potentially bright future as the Eagles’ new superstar quarterback, but putting him ahead of Mahomes, Joe Burrow and Josh Allen is bold.

Mahomes is now a two-time Super Bowl champion and arguably the best player in the league, and already one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

Hurts was only a “great” quarterback for one full season, culminating in a Super Bowl appearance, but he fell to Mahomes and company.

Burrow also enjoyed several successful years as a leader of the Cincinnati Bengals, and the same can be said for the Buffalo Bills superstar under Allen’s center.

This list will likely be viewed differently in the years to come, with some of the players going up and down, but for now Mahomes deserves the top spot over Hurts.
