The Houston Texans have been one of the worst teams in the NFL in recent seasons.
Because of this, they have an influx of young talent into their team.
Many of them are players they acquired in the draft.
In the 2023 draft, the Texans took quarterback CJ Stroud second overall.
He is expected to be their quarterback of the future.
But like any young quarterback, they can benefit from learning from a veteran.
That’s why the Texans agreed to bring Case Keenum back.
Keenum spent the first two years of his career as a member of the Texans.
He is delighted to be back in Houston.
According to Aaron Wilson, Keenum said “It’s special” and it’s “emotional” to be back in Houston.

Keenum last played for the Texans in the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
It’s safe to say that a lot has changed with the franchise over the past ten years.
Keenum praised the McNair family for the upgrades to the facilities and even the food.
Having a player like Keenum in the locker room will be great for the team.
He has a lot of experience and he is a real professional.
Few expect much from the Texans next season, but it might surprise some.
They have built a young roster and are still playing in a weak AFC South division.
Houston hopes Keenum doesn’t have to see the field at all next season.
But he’ll be ready to go if he does.
